ChatGPT and Bing are still wrong!

Everyone (and their dogs) are talking about ChatGPT and how good it is. The same thing for Bing. (Kind of? Really?) Is this fad going to end?

For me they are just a “robot” user interface — a UI. That’s all. They are not smart robot, but just a user interface to something (inference engines) somewhere. If that “something” is not good, or if the UI could not find a good “something”, then the result is bad.

I made a video — in Bahasa Indonesia — on how bad ChatGPT in multiplying large numbers. (It’s here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SCG0C_1Ej8) Okay, I realized that pushing “a human-like” machine to do multiplication is a bad thing. Machines are good at multiplication (or arithmetic in general?) When we bring them to human-like thing, then they are bad at arithmetic.

Today, I was looking for a song by LeAnn Rimes. I remembered seeing this is an TV series. I forgot the name of the series. Then I remembered the name of the song, “I need you.” Now, I just have to find out which TV series. So I asked Google, ChatGPT, and Bing. “which TV series LeAnn Rimes “I need you” song in? They did not produce result that I wanted, which is “Country Comfort.” (I found this later by going through hoops.)

Here is what ChatGPT said.

Here is the answer that I am looking for.
